Islam does not wait for recognition from the system of ignorance, nor does it ask for any space to breathe. Islam is a Deen of leadership and sovereignty, it does not accept partnership, but instead seeks to be supreme alone, as the Prophet Muhammad (saw) said, «الإسلامُ يَعلو ولا يُعلى» “Islam is supreme and nothing is superior to it.”
If you prioritize safety and fear for your interests, do not let your fear become an excuse to belittle Islam, or reduce it to a docile Dawah whose sole aim is to live peacefully under the umbrella of secularism.
Either be on par with Islam in its struggle and its fervor in confronting falsehood, or leave it be and seek a safe life devoid of conflict, sacrifice, and pain.
Confronting falsehood, exposing its deception, warning people against it, and calling them to abandon it is not a choice but a great obligation.
All the Prophets (as) followed this path. They were divinely guided leaders who feared none but Allah (swt), and they endured harm and persecution for the sake of truth.
Islam does not seek to patch up secularism by advocating morality, as some do, nor does Islam seek to soften the harshness of capitalism, by calling for charity and philanthropy.
Islam does not want the Muslim to be docile cattle in a society dominated by immorality and injustice. Instead, Islam wants the Muslim to be a voice for truth, one who strives against falsehood, one who refuses to submit to the system of ignorance, and one who works to dismantle it and establish the ruling governance of Islam in its place.
Allah (swt) said,
[وَجَٰهِدۡهُم بِهِۦ جِهَادٗا كَبِيرٗا]
“And strive against them with it a great striving” [TMQ Surah Al-Furqan: 52]. Whoever reads the stories of the Prophets (as) but then lives in submissiveness, without striving against falsehood or proclaiming the truth, preferring safety to confrontation, and flattering the corrupt elites, has turned away from their (as) path.
Confrontation today is not a choice, but a Shariah obligation upon every Daiee and zealous Muslim in the face of the fierce attack on Islam. You, O servant of Allah (swt), are faced with two paths: either you confront and defend your Deen and your Ummah, or you falter and become prey in a merciless battle. You stand guard at one of the frontiers of Islam, so do not let it be breached from your direction. As for those who seek to transform Muslims in their lands into protected subjects, they want Muslims to abandon their Dawah and their message, and to sever their connection to the issues of their Ummah.
Allah (swt) tested Bilal (ra) over a single Kalimah of Shahadah, and he uttered it with steadfastness, so Allah (swt) elevated his status and made his name synonymous with reverence. And Allah (swt) tested the ulema of today, who memorize volumes, but most of them failed at the first test, because they lacked the knowledge that truly benefits.
