When Islamic Leadership Is Absent, Oppression Prevails

News:

U.S. Deploys Warships Toward Venezuela; Maduro Mobilizes 4.5 Million Militia Members (latinamericareports.com/)

Comment:

The United States has once again revealed the aggressive nature of its imperial foreign policy by dispatching three warships toward the Venezuelan coast. Washington justifies the move through long-standing accusations that Venezuela is complicit in drug trafficking—a charge that Caracas firmly rejects as baseless and politically motivated.

In response, the Venezuelan government condemned the maneuver as an act of desperation: “The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela observes with total clarity the desperation of the United States administration, which resorts to threats and defamation against our country. Washington’s accusation that Venezuela is involved in drug trafficking reveals their lack of credibility and the failure of its policies in the region.”

President Nicolás Maduro reaffirmed Venezuela’s sovereignty in the face of foreign threats, declaring: “Our seas, our skies, and our lands are defended by us, liberated by us, guarded and patrolled by us. No empire will come to touch the sacred soil of Venezuela, nor should it touch the sacred soil of South America—no empire in the world.”

For decades, the United States has relied on military power to enforce its political and economic dominance across Latin America, the Middle East, and beyond. Nations that attempt to assert independence are punished with sanctions, propaganda campaigns, or outright military intimidation. Venezuela’s current ordeal is but the latest example of a world order sustained not by justice, but by coercion and exploitation.

Yet, even as Caracas resists, it remains entangled in a global system dominated by Western financial and political institutions. Defiance within this framework cannot secure true independence; it only prolongs subjugation under the same unjust order.

What humanity requires is an alternative vision—one that transcends the failures of Western politics. Capitalism, built upon exploitation and bloodshed, offers no lasting justice. Islam, by contrast, is rooted in truth, mercy, and justice, standing throughout history with the oppressed against their oppressors.

What the world needs today is leadership grounded in these principles. The Khilafah (Caliphate) is not simply an alternative system; it is the only model capable of breaking the cycle of imperial domination and establishing a genuinely just world order.

“And thus We have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you.” [Qur’an 2:143]
