The Criminal Court of Al-Obeid South and West Public Sentences the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir With a Fine Upon Each Accused Three Million Pounds, in Default Imprisonment One Month, and the Crime Is the Call to Islam!!

The Criminal Court of Al-Obeid South and West Public convicted, on Sunday 12 April 2026, four from the members of Hizb ut Tahrir, and they are: Al-Nazir Muhammad Hussein, Amin Abdel Karim, Abdel Aziz Ibrahim, and Ahmed Musa, and the wording of the ruling was: the fine upon each convicted (three million pounds), in default imprisonment one month from the day 12/4/2026. This conviction and unjust ruling comes on the background of the carrying out of the Shabab (members) of the Hizb on the anniversary of the demolition of the Khilafah (Caliphate), an intellectual and peaceful stand in the square of the Grand Mosque in the city of Al-Obeid, which was addressed by Ustadh Al-Nazir Muhammad Hussein, member of Hizb ut Tahrir, after the Friday prayer on 27 Rajab 1447 AH, corresponding to 16/1/2026 CE.

Then after the gathering dispersed, the security apparatus carried out the arrest of these four Shabab, and we at that time had issued a statement dated 17/1/2026, under the title: “Security forces in the City of El-Obeid arrested four members of Hizb ut Tahrir,” and we clarified through it the circumstances of the arrest.

Then cases were opened against them under Article 69, “disturbing public order and public tranquillity,” dated 28/1/2026, and at that time we issued a statement under the title: “Has the call to Islam and its implementation become a disruption of public peace and tranquillity?!” The court refused releasing the dawah carriers on bail, so we issued a statement dated 3/2/2026 under the title: “The government keeps the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir under detention unjustly until the date of the trial on 22 February.”

And on 5/2/2026 we issued a statement under the title: “With whom does the government and its agencies work, with the Ummah or with its enemies?!” We clarified that the prosecution added three other articles from the criminal law, that have no relation with the case, and kept the Shabab ten days in detention, and deprived them their right in releasing them on bail, and which there is no legal obstacle for it except the desire to punish them!

And on 21/2/2026 we held a press conference in which the official spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Sudan spoke under the title: “The trial of the members of Hizb ut Tahrir in Al-Obeid is a continuation of the war on Islam.”

And on 22/2/2026 the head of the defense committee of the da‘wah carriers submitted a request to the judge that he release the Shabab on bail, especially since the articles by which they are being tried permit that, however the judge returned the decision in the request to the next session on 25/2/2026, and kept the Shabab in detention, striking the law against the wall, and at that time we issued a statement under the title: “The court trying Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir in Al-Ubayyid deprives them of their right to release on bail for the second time.”

And on 2/3/2026 we issued a statement under the title: “The insistence on trying the members of Hizb ut Tahrir in El Obeid under article 69 of the Sudanese penal code is an insistence on preventing the call to Islam”

Indeed, we in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan, and in view of this clear injustice, and this unjust trial, affirm that this misguided regime, proceeding in the trail of the disbelieving colonizing West, obeying its commands and refraining from its prohibitions, blocking the call to Allah (swt) and to the implementation of His Sharia, and engaged in implementing the conspiracy of separating Darfur, is not worthy to rule the best Ummah brought forth for mankind.

So, O people of Sudan, O Muslims, O believers: do you accept that those who speak to you in the mosques, the houses of Allah (swt), and call you to your Aqeedah, and to the implementation of the law of your Lord, and you do not lift a finger?! So indeed, what these Shabab who were ruled upon with this unjust ruling did, was carrying out your duty, which is obligatory upon you to carry out, so it is an obligation upon us all. So take the hands of the oppressors and work with us to establish the system of Islam and its state, the Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood. At that time you will live the life of honor and dignity which the first Muslims lived, those who carried this Deen and implemented it. You will be, by the permission of Allah (swt), from the successful ones on the day when neither wealth nor sons will benefit, except the one who comes to Allah (swt) with a sound heart.

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا للهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ]

“O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life.” [Al-Anfal :24]
