We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan are pleased to congratulate the Muslim Ummah in general, and the people of Sudan in particular, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. We ask Almighty Allah to accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds, and to bring it back to us when the Ummah is united under the banner of Islam, the banner of: "There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah (saw his family, and his companions)," under the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) established according to the methodology of the Prophethood.

This year, Eid arrives while our country continues to suffer the ravages of war, and our people in Sudan are displaced or refugees. America, which controls the war in Sudan, is prolonging it until its poisonous scheme is fully realized. It seeks to sever Darfur from the body of Sudan, having already succeeded, through agents from among our own people, in separating South Sudan. America is indifferent to the suffering, hardship, killing, displacement, hunger, and disease inflicted upon the people. Now, it is working to further divide Darfur, following the Libyan scenario, where Sudan effectively has two governments: one in Darfur and parts of Kordofan, and another in the rest of Sudan.

Despite the government's public pronouncements about crushing the rebellion and working towards Sudanese unity, its actions are quite the opposite. It is complicit in a scheme to dismember Sudan and even in waging war against Islam—the very guarantor of the awareness that thwarts the plans of the kaffir (infidel) West and elevates the nation to ever greater heights.

Salvation from this reality can only be achieved through political awareness, which compels us to work diligently, relying on Allah, the Almighty, the All-Powerful, to sever the hand of the kaffir colonizer who is tampering with our lands and resources.

This can be accomplished by establishing a principled state that unites the Ummah and liberates it from subservience to the infidel colonizer—the second Khilafah Rashidah according to the methodology of the Prophethood, our Lord's commandment, the source of our glory, and the purifier of our land.

O people of Sudan, there is no salvation except by working to establish it, so that we may please Allah Almighty, and live a life of pride and dignity.
