Obituary of a Dawah Carrier from the First Generation in Hizb ut Tahrir
“Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. And they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration.” [TMQ Al-Ahzab:23]
The Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in the Blessed Land - Palestine mourns one of the men of Hizb ut Tahrir, the da’wah carrier from the first generation in its ranks, the forgiven one, Allah willing:
Hajj Muhammad Khalil Qasim (Abu Khalil)
Who passed away to the mercy of Allah Almighty today, Tuesday, 24 January 2023, at the age of 92, who spent most of his life carrying the dawah. Hajj Abu Khalil, may Allah have mercy on him, joined the dawah in the 1950s in the first ranks of Hizb ut Tahrir who had spent his life carrying the dawah of Islam and working to re-establish the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood, in all his actions (local and while traveling). He, may Allah have mercy on him, was an arrow of the arrows of the work to resume the Islamic way of life, obedient, loyal and enduring for the sake of that dawah, imprisonment and hardships, assuming many administrative tasks in the party, giving and spending for the sake of the call his life and wealth.
Even with his advancing age, he remained active, persistent, participating in activities, reading press releases and publications, loving the Shabab and being a companion to them, praying for them and they prayed for him for every goodness, love and uprightness. May Allah have mercy on Abu Khalil, for he lived keeping his covenant with Allah until the last moments of his life, and he died in that state, leaving behind him righteous offspring who are carrying the call, loving Islam, and working to raise it to be a credit to him and in the scale of his good deeds, Allah willing.
May Allah have mercy on our deceased, grant him the widest mercy, and may he dwell in His (swt) spacious gardens. We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return. May Allah (swt) reward his family and relatives and inspire them with patience and solace.
