Forgiveness Before Our Lord, and Apologies to Wounded Gaza
Tripoli ash-Sham Raises its Voice Against Festivals of Dancing upon the Wounds of the Ummah!

Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Lebanon called upon its Shabab(members) to participate in the sit-in scheduled in coordination with the activists and figures in the city of Tripoli, this Saturday evening at exactly six o’clock in front of the Tripoli International Fair, in denunciation of the festival of dance(Zambo) and singing in the city of Tripoli, the city of knowledge and scholars, as an excuse before Allah Almighty regarding the wrongdoings that are being committed in Tripoli and which do not express its identity, at a time when the criminal Jewish entity is waging a fierce war against the Muslims in Palestine in general and Gaza in particular, and its aggression and crimes extend to Lebanon and Syria, as it occupies part of the land of the South and the land of Syria, and its planes have not left their skies, bombing and destroying without deterrent or preventer!

The protestors were surprised by the large numbers of different security apparatuses, army, intelligence, information, general security, and state security deployed to prevent this sit-in and prevent the expression of the Shar‘i opinion, instead of preventing the festivals of corruption at a time of war! And so that no clash occurs with them, we moved tens of meters away from these security and military gatherings! Then we continued the sit-in in which Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim, Head of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Lebanon, delivered a brief speech in which he denounced this wrong that some suspicious women’s associations supported by money tycoons are undertaking, and denounced this act at this particular time. He also denounced the authority’s pushing of the security apparatuses against the sons of the city, and he affirmed that their place is at the frontlines and in confrontation with the Jews, not in the streets of the city of Tripoli. Their role is to protect the people, not to deprive them of their right, and it is obligatory upon them not to execute the orders of the thieves from the money tycoons in the seats of authority. Now is the time of confrontation and preparation against the enemy, not the time of festivals and corruption, especially in the city of Tripoli.

And in comment on the title of the festival, “Night of Sensation,”(Zambo) Dr. Ibrahim affirmed that this time is the time of sensing the plight of the children and women of Gaza and working to stop their extermination, as well as standing alongside the poor of Tripoli and the deprived in this country. And the authority in Lebanon must work to take care of the affairs of the people and help the poor and needy, and find a way to turn the Tripoli Fair into an economic center employing thousands of needy youth from the people of Tripoli, instead of turning it into a center of dancing, singing, debauchery, and immorality! Then the sit-in was concluded with supplication.

[فَلَوْلَا كَانَ مِنَ الْقُرُونِ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ أُولُو بَقِيَّةٍ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْفَسَادِ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِّمَّنْ أَنجَيْنَا مِنْهُمْ وَاتَّبَعَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مَا أُتْرِفُوا فِيهِ وَكَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ * وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ لِيُهْلِكَ الْقُرَىٰ بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا مُصْلِحُونَ]

“So why were there not among the generations before you those of enduring discrimination forbidding corruption on earth - except a few of those We saved from among them? But those who wronged pursued what luxury they were given therein, and they were criminals. And your Lord would not have destroyed the cities unjustly while their people were reformers.” [Surat Hūd 116-117]
