When the people of Bangladesh are suffering from intolerable economic and social misery, the United Nations (UN) gave final recommendation for Bangladesh’s graduation from the group of the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) to a Developing Nation, which astonished the people. This recommendation comes as a legitimacy for the tyrant Hasina to continue plundering people’s wealth and money in the name of so-called development.

Al Jazeera network’s Investigative Unit has claimed to expose Hasina regime’s grand political corruption through a series of covert recordings (“All the Prime Minister’s Men”, aljazeera.com, 1 February 2021).

People are also deeply worried about the surge of juvenile crimes and teen gang cultures across the country.

Amid heavy security presence, the ruthless Hasina government has started forced deportation of thousands of Rohingya refugees into an abandoned and flood-prone island, Bhashan Char, in the Bay of Bengal. Three hundred of Rohingya Muslims who have been banished to that unsafe land in last May are already in deplorable conditions.
