On March 8, 2025, International Women’s Day is observed, marking 115 years since its establishment in Copenhagen in 1910. Western governments and institutions celebrate the day with loud proclamations of progress, equality, and liberation. Yet, reality exposes their deep hypocrisy, particularly in their self-appointed mission to “liberate” Muslim women.

 All is not well in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Army that engineered a coup against the Sheikh Hasina government and brought in Mohammad Yunus as a puppet is now at a crossroads with the existing set-up. Bangladesh Army Chief Waker-uz-Zaman issued a stark warning to the country’s political leaders, stating that their ongoing infighting is putting the nation’s sovereignty at risk.

Liberal capitalist states are designed to undergo an annual financial plan for the running of the government revenues and expenditures. This financial policy that engages third world countries in immense pressure to strike a balance between state management of the affairs of the people and colonial hegemony.

HTM organized a protest outside the US Embassy (28th February) voicing strong opposition to the U.S. President Donald Trump’s alleged plans to annex Gaza and facilitate the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. The demonstration, attended by hundreds of activists, culminated in the submission of a memorandum condemning the plans. Embassy officials, however, declined to accept the document.
