On 22/2/2016, various media agencies published the text of the joint statement issued by the United States and Russia on the truce which stated:
“... The United States and Russia, as co-chairs of the ISSG and ISSG Ceasefire Task Force, announce the adoption on February 22, 2016, of the Terms for a Cessation of Hostilities in Syria attached as an Annex to this statement, and propose that the cessation of hostilities commence at 00:00 (Damascus time) on February 27, 2016. The cessation of hostilities is to be applied to those parties to the Syrian conflict that have indicated their commitment to and acceptance of its terms...

On Thursday 18th February 2016, a brave member of Hizb ut Tahrir, Mohammad Sohel Rana (age 29) has been arrested by half a dozen plain clothed officers of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) from his office during the noon hour. More than 24 hours have passed and he has yet to be produced before the court.

As part of the campaign, “By the Rope of Allah not the Ropes of the West" organized by Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Tunisia, held a lecture titled “Lectures from the Seerah of the Prophet in methodology and struggle” by Br Jalal Tqtaq at the Hizb Headquarters in Sfax.
