Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain has announced 2 global conferences to take place in London and Birmingham on 26th July 2009 and 2nd August 2009. The conferences are entitled "The Struggle for Islam and the Call for Khilafah "Caliphate"".

On Friday 17th July 2009, corresponding to the 25th of Rajab 1430 Hijri, Hizb ut-Tahrir convened a large gathering following Friday prayers at Masjid Al-Aqsa. Tens of thousands of people attended and banners hung around the sacred precincts called for the return of the Khilafah "Caliphate" which would establish the Deen and unite the Muslims.
On 17th July 2009, Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah of Sudan convened a large gathering in Khartoum on the anniversary of the destruction of the Islamic Khilafah "Caliphate". At the gathering, numerous leading personalities and representatives of political parties reminded those in attendance of the need for unity of the state and the importance of the Khilafah "Caliphate" in uniting the Muslims and their lands. Over 2000 people attended the gathering.
