Whilst the Muslims of Occupied Kashmir and India face brutal attacks by Modi and his Hindutva platform, Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, tweeted to the Butcher of Gujrat, “Pakistan desires peaceful and co-operative ties with India.” Thus, Democracy ensures a leadership that removes Pakistan as an obstacle to the rise of today’s Raja Dahir as the brutal regional tyrant.

In the Times of India reported on an article where the population growth rate between Muslims and Hindus was challenged. A panel discussion in Kolkata was held entitled ‘Population: Are Muslims Overtaking the Hindus in the City’. The narrative that Muslims are taking over the demographics in a manner that is threatening to the Hindu population is a common fear factor that has been used historically to divide India.

The Supreme Court of Karnataka, India, ruled that, “We are of the considered opinion that wearing of hijab by Muslim women does not form a part of essential religious practice,” reinforcing an earlier state ruling banning the Khimar head covering in classrooms. The ruling stated that allowing Muslim women to wear the Hijab in the classroom contradicts their freedoms and the spirit of the constitution based on India’s “positive secularism.”

On 24 Feb 2022, NIA officials released information via PTI News service about the arrest of Ziyavudeen Baqavi for making speeches (bayans) on the importance of the Khilafah.., its role in history and its future for the Muslim world.  Allegations made include slanderous claims that Hizb ut Tahrir is an offshoot of ISIS, implying the justification to impose the draconian Unlawful Activities Prevention laws.
