February 6th this year marked 100 years since the passing of the Representation of the People Act in Britain which granted the vote to women over the age of 30 who met a certain property qualification.

In a major move president Ashraf Ghani signed on Sunday the retirement orders of 164 Generals. “Putting Afghanistan new military officers inherent law to practice,” he wrote on his official Twitter account. The president also noted, "We want reforms to win the war and peace. We don’t want reforms just for the sake of reforms. This process will continue for our brighter future”.
