The #Conquest_of_Constantinople is a reminder that the Muslims are one Ummah; their peace is one and their war is one, and that their fragmentation in statelets only serves the colonists, and that sectarian, madhhabi and tribal fighting only serves the Ummah's enemies. Our unity in one land is the nucleus of the conquests and the completion of the glad-tidings of the Prophet (saw).

What a great anniversary that is passing by us! What an anniversary in which the first capital of Byzantine turns into the capital of the great Islamic state! What empowerment is this! What a clear victory! What dignity is this for Muslims in general and for conquerors in particular!

The Conquest of #Constantinople in 1453 was a decisive battle in human history. By this victory, the Uthmani Khilafah (Ottoman Caliphate) was able to spread the message and authority of Islam across the Balkans, and into Europe. The Muslims’ capital shifted to Istanbul.

We recall the speech of Ja'far ibn Abi Talib to Negus, who said: "We were a people in a state of ignorance and immorality, worshipping idols and eating the flesh of dead animals, committing all sorts of abomination and shameful deeds, breaking the ties of kinship, treating guests badly, and the strong among us exploited the weak.
