 Pakistan has just experienced its worst floods in decades. The suffering does not seem to be stopping any time soon. Millions have lost their homes, whilst hundreds have lost their lives. So, let us consider the floods

"Pakistan is going through its eighth cycle of monsoon while normally the country has only three to four cycles of rain... the percentages of super flood torrents are shocking...The floods (have been) "unprecedented" and "the worst humanitarian disaster of this decade... “Pakistan's priority, at the moment, is this climate-induced humanitarian disaster of epic proportions” Statement made by Sherry Rehman the minister for climate change. The bodies of two Saudi asylum seekers – found dead in their apartment in Sydney’s south west in June – have been repatriated to Saudi Arabia, the country the sisters fled seeking protection in Australia.
