Nafsiya Reflections: Who We will Become

We will be presenting what Rajab means to the Muslim Ummah and how for the past century this has affected the Muslims. The Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir has launched a global Campaign entitled, "Upon the Centenary of the Destruction of the Khilafah ... Establish it, O Muslims."

Welcome to this week’s episode of Nafsiya Reflections: Who We will Become?

Betrayal, Destruction, Defeat. 100 years ago was when we lost it all. Our pride and honor. The system that Muhammad (saw) had given us. The Amanah he had given us. We lost it. It was the last thing we had of him. Now without it, we have become lost. Since the destruction of our noble shield, many have lost their homes, loved ones, livelihoods, and much, much, more. We had lost our noble system and which was then replaced with a secular system, a system based on the whims and desires of man. An attack on Islam! An attack on Muslims! An effort lead us to hopelessness, by bombing and torturing our brothers and sisters throughout the world, and occupying our lands.

Our schools, our youth are fed ideas that have us go even farther down this dark hole. When we get the chance to know about Islam, we are taught the basic day to day Ibadat, like praying or fasting. The simple ways to live a semi-Islamic life at home. Their goal is to make religion and life two separate ideas; to make us think that religion is only for one to focus on personally, not as a whole world order. They end up giving us so little of our Deen that it makes us thirsty for more.

We turn to those who have knowledge of Islam, looking for one who will make things right for us again. One that will speak the truth and fear no one, but Allah (swt). Who when one speaks will give it to us straight, not fearing the consequences of this Dunya. A true Dawah Carrier, giving the message in its entirety! But who?! How can we know who is going to teach us and guide us? Who do we trust? How can we tell them apart? Who is going to help get us to where we once were, living in honor as well as help give back the justice we had lost?

A lot of the people we see today come and sugar coat what they say. They sugar coat the word of Allah (swt), twisting it to make it fit into a certain mold in society. As if they are ashamed of what Allah (swt) has given us. They are ashamed of the truth. They fail to mention the hardcore part of it all... the solution to it all. They don’t tell us how we can make a difference. They forget to mention HOW we can push through all these hardships as a Ummah. As one Nation! As a whole! One to put hand in hand and actually fix the problems we face. What they do, is state the problem, and then beat around the bush and lead us to making Duaa or go to charities that don’t fix the root of the problem. They leave who had listened feeling only a moment’s worth of motivation, but then, we come to realize that our problems remain. They make us feel hopeless again not to mention that changing the system we are in is what will change our circumstances; just like secularism, they make religion a personal issue. One to make Duaa and to move on. The secularized Dawah Carrier- just another way to bring us farther away from solution and deeper into injustice. Tightening the shackles of secularism!

Yes, a Duaa is powerful. At the same time you can’t expect change to happen when everyone sits back, quiet, and just prays for change. We have to work for it. We must show that we are worthy of the change we need. Stand up and fight back against this injustice. Stand tall and call to the Armies to help bring change! Be true Dawah Carriers! To bring back our Honor! To bring back who we truly are!

Stand firm with the word of Allah (swt), speak it – the way it is. We must set the example and show what Islam truly is. We need to look at how the Prophet Muhammad (saw) would speak, act, and how he was as a whole and what he worked for.

When stones bruised his skin, when he was called names, when he was forced out of his home- he (saw) stood strong... facing the Kufar and never gave up. He never sugar coated a thing he would say. It was the truth, there isn’t a need to make it sweet. You see how he eventually changed the world with the truth that the Kufar were scared of. The truth that ended up saving the world. Now, we need to save it once again. Yes, our beloved prophet (saw) isn’t here today, so how do we do this? What is it that we must do to break the shackles and to bring back justice? Do we just stand back and make Duaa, waiting for the change to happen on it’s own like how the secularized Dawah Carriers want us to do? Is that what Muhammad (saw) did? Did he just sit back and pray? No, he called to the people of influence and power, spreading the word of Islam, and never rested until his goal was completed. Until Islam came to light, and gave Nour to the whole world. Therefore, even though we don’t have our beloved prophet (saw) with us today, we have the message he carried and the way he delivered that message.

Allah SWT said,

“Invite ˹all˺ to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and kind advice, and only debate with them in the best manner. Surely your Lord ˹alone˺ knows best who has strayed from His Way and who is ˹rightly˺ guided.” [Surah al-Nahl : 125]

Let us speak the truth. Let us call the Muslim Armies to help bring back our noble shield! Let us have the courage that our Prophet Muhammad (saw) had and stand firm. Let us work to bring change. Let us work to restore our honor. To bring the world out of the misery of secularism, a man made system created by the whims and desires of man, and into the light of Islam.

O Muslims! We are stronger than the world perceives us. They are trying to tear us down so that we don’t stand back up! They don’t give us solutions because they don’t want us to get back to living with glory! They don’t want us to give the world justice, because that would take the power away from those who are in power! Let’s fight this together, as a whole! Let us do what Muhammad(saw) did and bring back our shield. Let’s call the Muslim Armies!

O Muslim Armies! You are strong and your intentions are to fight for the sake of Allah, fight so that you can bring back our shield! Fight for your brothers and sisters! FIGHT FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH! 100 years of misery, it’s time it comes to an end! Let us be true Dawah Carriers! This isn’t and will never be a personal issue! We are one Ummah under one Law. The Law of Allah. Fight for our shield, the Khilafah, Caliphate.

100 years is enough! Work with Hizb ut Tahrir, to work to restore the Khilafah, Caliphate, on the method of the Prophethood. One Ummah, one world, under one just Law. The Law of Allah (swt). Let’s be true Dawah Carriers, by truly carrying the truth with no shame. Work with Hizb ut Tahrir and lets show the world who we will become, in shaa Allah.
