Justice with Two Scales... When the Executioner Is Rewarded and the Bearer of the Word Is Condemned!
(Translated)

On Tuesday, 23/12/2025, unjust rulings were issued, ranging between three and ten years, against a second batch of Hizb ut Tahrir members detained in Harim Prison since 2023. Among those tried was the Head of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Syria. Harsh sentences were issued under strange and bizarre trial circumstances, beginning with the location of the court (a cave) and ending with masked judges. These rulings targeted the Shabab (members of Hizb ut Tahrir) known only for speaking the word of truth and for demanding the opening of fronts against the criminal Assad and his murderous regime.

At the heart of this scene, a stark paradox emerges that cannot be missed: the release of officers and figures from the Shabiha and remnants, some of whom served in active military units that participated—directly or indirectly—in suppressing the people’s revolution against oppression. These figures were released under the label of “civil peace policy” and “hands not being stained with blood”! Meanwhile, Shabab known for their illuminating stances opposing the former tyrant’s regime are brought before dark trials, with masked judges, and heavy sentences that bring back memories of rulings issued against them during the days of the criminal Assad!

The Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir against whom these rulings were issued are people of opinion and bearers of the dawah to Islam and its implementation, calling for its realization through the establishment of the second Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood. They are men who rejected paths of normalization and demanded the opening of fronts to liberate the land from tyranny. Many of them tasted the bitterness of prisons during the era of the defunct regime. Therefore, it would have been fitting that they be honored rather than condemned, and that their dignity be preserved rather than violated under any pretext or justification whatsoever. However, the new regime followed the same course of rule as the tyrant Bashar and his father before him in arresting the members of the party, forgetting—or pretending to forget—the saying of the Messenger of Allah (saw):

«مَنْ عَادَى لِي وَلِيّاً فَقَدْ آذَنْتُهُ بِالْحَرْبِ» “Whoever shows hostility to a friend of Mine, I declare war against him.” (Reported by al-Bukhari).

«مَنْ آذَى لِي وَلِيًّا فَقَدِ اسْتَحَقَّ مُحَارَبَتِي» “Whoever harms a friend of Mine has deserved My war.” Musnad Abi Ya‘la al-Mawsili And whoever is declared war upon by Allah and deserves Allah’s war has surely failed and lost.

What we have witnessed is a truly schizophrenic standard, especially when it absolves those who stood with the criminal murderer under the pretext of “civil peace” and “societal security,” while criminalizing those who were keen to liberate the land and the servants from the influence of the kufar colonizers and their agents, and then to rule al-Sham by the law of Allah, so that al-Sham may return as the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: «عُقْرُ دَارِ الإِسْلامِ بِالشَّام» “The heartland of the abode of Islam is al-Sham.” (Reported by al-Tabarani in al-Mu‘jam al-Kabir).

This unjust scene has driven everyone who lends an attentive ear and bears witness to ask: Have we indeed begun to pay the price for the lifting of American sanctions and the Caesar Act, by throwing ourselves into the arms of America while keeping the people of truth in prisons? Have we?!

Finally, take heed, O people of insight. This is the path of the oppressive tyrants, upon whom the command of Allah came to pass, and they fell when they thought that the era of oppression and tyranny would last. The laws of Allah remain and favor no one. The consequences of oppression do not delay, and history bears witness. Oppression is darkness upon darkness, and the supplication of the oppressed has no barrier between it and Allah: [وَسَيَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَيَّ مُنقَلَبٍ يَنقَلِبُون] “And those who have wronged will know to what [kind of] return they will be returned.” [Ash-Shu‘ara:227].
