The National Security Committee in Kyrgyzstan Organizes a Masked Show Against the Dawah Carriers in the Batken Region
(Translated)
The National Security Committee in Kyrgyzstan organized a masked show against the dawah carriers in the Batken region, and announced the arrest of 12 Muslims on the charge of “extremism,” directing to them the charge of “establishing and financing an extremist organization.”
According to the information, nothing was found in the homes of the dawah carriers, who were learning Islam and conveying it to people, except religious books and phones and laptops, without anything else. And during the arrest operation, the forces dealt with them in a manner not befitting human dignity, and conducted a masked show against them.
Before that, residents of the Batken region went out in protests demanding the release of six men who had previously been arrested on charges of extremism. And the protesters confirmed that the detainees were, during the pandemic and during the border events, carrying the concerns of the people, and offering continuous assistance to needy families. They also stressed that the charges of “extremism” are attributed to them unjustly, and that the security personnel are trying — with false accusations — to depict them as if they are criminals.
The special agencies had previously carried out such illegal acts in the city of Bishkek, and in the Issyk-Kul and Naryn regions as well. And the arrest operations there were accompanied by various illegal practices, such as kidnapping, and electric shocks in temporary detention centers, and pressure on their families.
Also, the previous presidents used “combating extremism and terrorism” as a weapon to hide their failure in running the country, and to distract people’s attention from the political and economic crises in the state. For example, Atambayev in 2014 used the same method under Russia’s pressure, before pushing the state into the Eurasian Economic Union, which brought no benefit to the people, and at that time he began the campaign of arresting Muslim women. As for Jeenbekov, who inherited power from Atambayev, he also continued — under Russia’s pressure and in order to obtain aid from international organizations — continued his war against Islam and Muslims, including women.
And here is the government of Japarov, which did not take heed from the fate of previous governments, walking today on the same path, continuing its war against the dawah carriers.
Before he reached power, he had promised to solve the problem of the energy sector, and to make Kyrgyzstan within five years a state that lends instead of borrowing, but these promises were forgotten, so prices rose significantly, and the standard of living of people decreased, and unemployment increased. And despite that, the authorities instead of addressing these problems, are waging a war against Islam and Muslims under the pretext of “extremism.”
The renewed injustice of the authorities toward the Shabab who carry the burden of dawah is not a passing matter; as the approaching winter season, with the increase in electricity cuts and rationing upon ordinary people, while it is provided without interruption to the mining sites that consume huge amounts of energy, all of that increased the people’s anger toward the authorities. And in addition to that, the society’s resentment grew toward the illegal violations committed by Chinese individuals inside the country. Added to this is the approaching date of the parliamentary elections, which drives the authorities to take additional measures.
And what also indicates this is what President Sadyr Japarov wrote on his Facebook page, where he said: “We will not allow a coup to happen, and from now on you will not see a coup except in your dreams,” and he also tried to frighten the people by saying that the security agencies have become stronger than before.
Based on that, we warn those who intensify the pressure on Islam and increase the injustice against Muslims with the saying of Allah Almighty:
[قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَشْكُو بَثِّي وَحُزْنِي إِلَى اللَّهِ وَأَعْلَمُ مِنَ اللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ]
“He said, ‘I only complain of my suffering and my grief to Allah, and I know from Allah that which you do not know’.” [Surah Yusuf: 86].
O Noble Muslims, we repeat and reiterate to you: attend the court sessions in which your Muslim brothers are tried based on these false charges, or speak with the relatives of those who are being tried, and then you will know who these men are, and you will witness with your own eyes the injustice of the security agencies.
As for the security personnel, they say that they only carry out orders, and that they did not see from the detainees any bad deed. If that is the case, then who is issuing the orders of this injustice?! Has the temporary seat of power become higher for them than the blessing of this world and the Hereafter?! No ruler throughout history who went out against Allah and His Deen and Muslims except that he perished!
Allah Almighty says:
“And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare [in horror].” [Surah Ibrahim:42].
