Colonialist America’s Overbearing Follow-ups on so-called “Reforms” are Nothing but an Attempt to expand her Domination in Bangladesh

The United States chargé d’Affaires in Dhaka, Tracy Ann Jacobson, held a meeting with Professor Ali Riaz, Vice Chair of the National Consensus Commission last week to inquire about the ongoing reform initiatives and their progress. Jacobson and her deputies have been holding a series of meetings with representatives of the major political parties. As part of the U.S.’s engagement to ‘promote democracy’ in Bangladesh, we observe frequent meetings and statements from the U.S. Embassy in Bangladesh and U.S. State Department urging reforms in governance. There should be no doubt that America's push for reform and so-called ‘democratic accountability’ are not intended for the good of our people. Throughout history, the neo-imperialist U.S. has always backed dictators for its own interests while advocating for ‘democracy’ and ‘human rights’. It has prioritized its strategic and competing interests (like the ‘Indo-Pacific Strategy’ – a cornerstone of US foreign policy) over promoting democratic values or human rights in this region. We witnessed this double standard in U.S. policy when it has maintained diplomatic and strategic ties with the authoritarian Hasina government for its geopolitical interests whilst imposed ‘symbolic’ visa restrictions to certain Bangladeshi security officials involved in human rights. The Western democratic politics is deeply rooted in this kind of deceiving tactic. Behind the mask of democracy and human rights, the U.S. always hides its deceitfulness, and intervenes in other countries’ politics to expand its control. So, the frequent follow-ups by U.S. on the political ‘clown show’ veiled as ‘reform’ is nothing but to exert economic, political, and cultural influence to dominate Bangladesh. Bangladesh holds critical strategic value for the U.S., and a government more cooperative than Hasina's can better serve American strategic interests in the region. So, in the name of ‘supporting’ Bangladesh’s reforms, the imperialist U.S. is pressuring Bangladesh to align with U.S. security framework to counter China and prevent the imminent rise of normative political Islam i.e., Khilafah Rashidah (righteous Caliphate) on the way of Prophethood.

O People, the reason you rose up against Hasina's tyranny, shed blood, and hoped for real change is all going to be in vain because this interim government, the politicians and intellectuals of our country have miserably failed to guide you towards the right direction. Unfortunately, they are still unwilling to admit that the ‘real cause’ of oppression was not dictatorial Hasina. No matter which government comes in and no matter what 'new political settlement' is formulated, we will not be liberated unless we can break free from the grip of this Western world order, the real cause of our misery. Thus, even after the ousting of Hasina, your desired changes are not coming except for the smooth implementation of American agenda. O People, your uprising has already been hijacked and the old system is slowly coming back. Do not make the mistake of thinking that the old system means Hasina's system. Rather, the U.S.-led Western political settlement is the key system that nurtures politicians, whether autocratic or democratic, for their interest. This global world-order is being sustained by the imperialist America. But even then, the political thinkers of this country are telling you to be pragmatic. In their eyes, India is a direct threat to our sovereignty and the practical solution to this is to be in the lap of the America. Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Bangladesh calls upon you to reject these traps and deception veiled as ‘reform’. Raise your voice for the promised Khilafah (Caliphate) on the model of the Prophethood that can ensure real change and free us from the clutches of the Kafir Imperialists.
