The Tripartite Meeting in Amman is a Consolidation of American Influence in Syria and a Disguised Normalization with the Jews

On 12 August 2025, the Jordanian capital, Amman, hosted a tripartite meeting between Jordan, Syria, and the United States. The meeting was attended by Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and US Special Envoy Tom Barrack. The meeting was part of what was called an attempt to “contain the Sweida [Suwayda] crisis and support Syria’s stability.”

However, this meeting, and the events that preceded it in Sweida, including armed clashes, raids by the Jewish entity on Damascus and its suburbs, and widespread transgressions against tribal and Bedouin communities, confirm that the true goal is not stability. Instead, the true goal is consolidating America’s influence and imposing solutions on the ground that satisfy the enemies of the Islamic Ummah, and exclude the voice of the popular platform.

After the ceasefire was declared in Sweida, following clashes between local factions directly affiliated with the Jewish entity and tribes, and amid a direct escalation by the Jewish entity through aerial bombardment, a series of meetings, including one in Paris and the most recent one in Jordan, carried a clear and understandable message. The message is Syria’s fate is being managed behind closed doors, under American supervision and regional sponsorship, and that all events that have taken place in the past, the most recent of which was in Sweida, are nothing more than a bargaining chip in a dirty international play.

Official media portrayed the meeting as a “step toward reconstruction and ensuring sovereignty,” while the reality is that the participating parties only proposed solutions that serve the continued influence of America and the Jews, perpetuate the reality of dependency and agency, and distance the state from exercising its true authority. Suffice it to say, Jordanian analysts themselves warned that the continuation of the conflict in the south poses a direct threat to Jordan’s borders, and that the collapse of the Syrian state is not in that country’s interest. This means that the meeting was held, first and foremost, to protect Jordan and the security of the occupying Jewish entity.

America’s direct presence at the meeting, and its imposition of its plan under the pretext of a “cessation of hostilities,” exposes the truth about its long-standing role in shaping events in Syria. This Amman meeting is a new chapter in this process, aimed at consolidating America’s influence, and preparing the ground for normalization, with the occupying Jewish entity through approval of the Abraham Accords.

Anyone who follows the details of what happened will realize a number of facts that must be considered, including:

Firstly: The Jewish entity is a major player in the scene, investing in and nurturing every position to achieve its own gains, which it declares every now and then. Therefore, any meeting that ignores or turns a blind eye to this role is, in practice, colluding with it and entrenching its aggression.

Secondly: The tripartite meeting aims to reproduce international guardianship over Syria, whereby the transitional government is forced to accept security and political arrangements under America’s watch, including managing the southern front, and dealing with local factions, the henchmen of the Jews, as political partners, despite their horrific crimes against the tribes. This in itself is a betrayal of the blood of innocents, and a legitimization of separatist hotbeds that are strengthened by the enemy.

Thirdly: The threat of Syria’s disintegration and the emergence of multiple mini-states in the south, and elsewhere, is being raised to pressure acceptance of any solution plan, and ensure the security of the occupying Jewish entity. The pretext of protecting the Druze was merely a cover for direct Jewish intervention, and the presentation of separatist factions as an alternative to the state. All of this is not out of love for anyone. Instead, all of this is to secure guarantees and pressure for signing commitments that guarantee the safety of the Jewish occupying entity.

Fourthly: The so-called reconstruction and refugee return are nothing more than deceptive slogans, intended to buy time and advance a political plan that would obstruct the revolution, and transform the Syrian issue from one of liberation (tahrir) and radical change into a mere humanitarian and relief effort, while sovereignty remains hostage in the hands of foreign powers.

Fifthly: Relying on Washington, Amman or other capitals will not guarantee stability or sovereignty. Instead, it will increase dependency and loss. Every settlement imposed from abroad means further squandering of the revolution’s gains, further entrenching the colonialist influence, and further oppressing the mujahideen and the free people.

The combined facts confirm that the tripartite meeting in Amman is nothing more than a step towards imposing normalization, with the criminal entity, even if it was not explicitly declared. Talk about Syria’s stability, without expelling the Jews from the land they occupied in Syria, not to mention their occupation of the Blessed Land of Palestine, and ignoring the blood of the Bedouin and tribal martyrs who fell in both Sweida and Gaza, is nothing more than preparing the ground for a humiliating coexistence with the Jewish entity.

Therefore, the people of ash-Sham must reject these conspiracies and not be fooled by the slogans of “peace and stability” that they raise while covering up the crimes of the Jews. The path to security and sovereignty does not pass through Washington or Amman, but instead through adherence to the Shariah Law of Allah (swt), then reliance on the Ummah and its sincere popular platform, and completing the path of revolution until all foreign guardianship is overthrown, and sincere work is done to eradicate the Jewish entity from its roots. Allah (swt) says,

[وَلَا تَرْكَنُوا إِلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا فَتَمَسَّكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاء ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ]

“Do not incline toward those who do wrong, lest the Fire touch you, and you will have no protectors other than Allah, and then you will not be aided.” [TMQ Surah Hud: 113].

Let it be clear that every step toward seeking assistance from America and the West, or acquiescing to Jordan’s and the Jewish entity’s efforts to fragment Syria, is a major betrayal of the revolution and the blood of the martyrs. The path to victory begins with declaring our disavowal of all normalization projects, a sincere commitment to implementing the Shariah Law of Allah (swt), and reliance on the revolutionary popular platform, for it alone is the true support after the Nasr (victory) of Allah (swt), in times of crisis and hardship.
