Political and Ideological Realities Confirmed by the Bloodshed in Sweida

In a shocking and unexpected move, the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced the beginning of the withdrawal of Syrian army forces from the city of Sweida, following an agreement between the government and the Druze religious leaders and after Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, who is leading the transitional phase, assigned local factions and Druze religious leaders the responsibility of maintaining security in Sweida. This comes just days after bloody and violent clashes that claimed the lives of hundreds of our martyred brothers. The withdrawal followed an American call for government forces to leave the province, and a series of intense airstrikes by the air force of the Jewish entity on Damascus, targeting the General Staff building, the Ministry of Defense, and the vicinity of the Presidential Palace.

These came after earlier bombings that hit several areas in the countryside of Damascus, Daraa, and Sweida, leaving large numbers of martyrs and wounded. This withdrawal was followed by dirty, shameful acts of revenge, which affected the blood and honor of our Bedouin people in Sweida. Kidnapping, murder, torture, and dragging bodies through the streets behind cars were carried out by Druze militias empowered by the Jewish entity, with the strong incitement of Hikmat al-Hijri, who has become a symbol of criminality, incitement against the state, calls for separatism, and demands for international protection and independent self-rule.

Amid this painful scene and its heartbreaking details, cries for help rose, calling upon the honor of Muslims and the zeal of the sincere. Before long, we were witnessing a majestic sight, massive convoys of the Ummah’s sons and its tribes filling the horizon, in response to the call, from the north of the country to the south, and from east to west. It even transcended the colonialist borders drawn by Sykes-Picot, as the fervor of the people of Iraq was strongly present, as well as that of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and others. The militias that relied on support from the Jewish entity were dealt painful blows, collapsing under the strikes of the tribal fighters and the assaults of the youth of the Ummah.

As expected, voices from America, the West, and the Jewish entity rose, demanding that the Syrian administration intervene to end the conflict. What followed was yet another humiliating agreement, in submission to American pressure and Jewish demands! The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced the cessation of clashes in the city of Sweida and the evacuation of tribal fighters from the area, following the deployment of Syrian security forces to enforce the ceasefire. Meanwhile, al-Hijri arrogantly boasted of his disgraceful conditions for the state, including that the general security forces remain only at the administrative borders of the province, essentially acting as border guards, and that he oversees the receipt of aid, and prevents the arrival of government ministers, effectively denying any recognition of the Syrian state or its representatives! He also demanded the opening of a crossing with Jordan and international protection!

As a result, a widespread wave of public and tribal outrage erupted over the current administration’s insistence on halting the battles inside Sweida, executing the orders of America, and responding to the demands of the Jewish entity before the liberated men could complete their mission of defeating the Jewish-backed militias that killed our children, violated the sanctity of our families, and mutilated our fighters while they were still alive!

However, matters didn’t end there. The authorities exerted intense pressure to enforce the ceasefire, set up checkpoints to prevent ammunition from reaching the revolutionaries, and blocked reinforcements from reaching them. Moreover, they began confiscating the weapons of the fighters, and tightening the noose around them.

It is worth noting that large numbers of fighters remain in the city, refusing to leave, and declaring their determination to continue the battle, until the issue of the Jewish-backed militias is resolved. Meanwhile, others were forcibly pushed out of Sweida by the General Security forces through pressure, denial of ammunition, and cutting off their supply lines.

In light of all the preceding events, incidents, and facts, it is necessary to emphasize the following points:

Firstly: The people of ash-Sham, including the tribes, have truly proven themselves to be people of sincerity, honor, swift response, and bravery on the battlefield. They are indeed noble men, a worthy popular platform, and a steadfast backbone for those who recognize their worth, give them their due respect, and honor them as they deserve.

Secondly: The mobilization of the tribes reaffirmed a deep-rooted ideological and political truth that we are one Ummah, distinct from all other peoples. Indeed, it demonstrated the strength of the Ummah and exposed the fragility of the regimes. The way the Ummah responded to the events confirmed that Islam is deeply rooted in its heart, and that its unity based on Islam is its pulse, and aspiration for the future, especially after breaking the artificial nationalistic borders drawn by the sinful hands of the colonialist disbeliever.

It was a blessed movement that revived the spirit of revolution and Jihad in the hearts of the youth of the Ummah, rekindled the hatred for the Jewish entity, and brought closer the awaited encounter and the fulfillment of the hadith of the Gharqad tree.

Thirdly: The true strength of any state, and the real popular support for any sincere leadership that takes the reins after placing trust in Allah (swt), lies in the Ummah and its popular platform, with all its human and material resources, political awareness, and revolutionary spirit and spirit of Jihad.

The role of the revolutionary popular platform has been well-known throughout the past fourteen years. Therefore, only a wise and sincere person will honor and elevate it, while only an ignorant one driven by his ignorance toward ruin will betray it and draw closer to its enemies.

Fourthly: The treacherous factions in Sweida, and their arrogant leader, emboldened by Jewish support, have no loyalty or honor. There is no crime they haven’t committed against our people, no atrocity they haven’t fallen into, all under the gaze of a complicit and conspiratorial world.

It is a crime in itself to appease them, or reward them for their actions, by allowing them to maintain control over their hubs of criminality, under any pretext or justification. The lenient approach to the Druze file has revealed a serious underestimation on the part of the new administration, as its representatives were expelled, calls for international protection were made, and communication with the Jewish entity took place, all of which constitute unmistakable acts of treason.

Fifthly: Our enemies do not want us to rise, or stand tall. They go to great lengths to weaken us, disperse our unity, and fragment our lands, so that we remain submissive and dependent on them, unable to stand without their support. They seek to keep southern Syria demilitarized, free of the army and its weapons, to ensure the security of the Jewish entity, whose fragility was exposed by the heroes of Gaza, with their limited yet blessed resources and weaponry.

Sixthly: We must be certain that submitting to international dictates, and placing trust in American promises, will lead us only to clear loss both in this world and the Hereafter. The administration’s confusion, its failure to act decisively, its rush to normalize relations with the Jewish entity, and its attempts to appease both East and West, in pursuit of honor from them at the expense of the revolution and its core principles, rather than relying on Allah (swt), holding firmly to His Shariah Law, and drawing strength from His servants, all point to a dangerous trajectory.

By abandoning the implementation of Allah’s Shariah Law, the administration loses the divine support that once carried us victorious to Damascus. Repeating the same mistakes weakens the revolution’s prestige, and squanders the great gains paid for with the blood of the mujahideen. We remind them of Allah’s words,

[وَلاَ تَرْكَنُواْ إِلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ فَتَمَسَّكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاء ثُمَّ لاَ تُنصَرُونَ]

“And do not be inclined to the wrongdoers or you will be touched by the Fire. For then you would have no protectors other than Allah, nor would you be helped.” [TMQ Surah Hud 113].

Seventhly: Our Aqeedah (doctrine) has clearly defined the nature of our relationship with the Jewish entity that has usurped our land, violated our sanctities, and committed the most heinous crimes against our people in Gaza, and across Palestine. It is a relationship of war and an existential struggle, a coming battle that is inevitable and inescapable. Any delay only means further loss of lives and resources.

Therefore, we must prepare and equip ourselves with all available means to confront the Jewish entity. Accordingly, it is absolutely forbidden to normalize relations with the Jewish entity, or to enter into any form of treaty that acknowledges its sovereignty over even a single inch of Muslim land.

In conclusion, the first step on the path to victory is the clear and unwavering declaration of a true commitment to implementing the Shariah Law of Allah (swt) without hesitation or delay, seeking His Pleasure and His Support, not the approval of America or anyone else. Without this, we will never rise, and the country will never see lasting security or sovereignty.

We must rely on the revolutionary popular platform, and the sincere among its sons, for they are the true support after Allah (swt) during times of crisis and hardship.

[وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ إِنَّ اللهَ بَالِغُ أَمْرِهِ قَدْ جَعَلَ اللهُ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدْراً]

“And whoever puts their trust in Allah, then He alone is sufficient for them. Certainly Allah achieves His Will. Allah has already set a destiny for everything.” [TMQ Surah At-Talaq: 3]
