America, Iran, and the Nuclear Issue
(Translated)

News:

On Saturday, May 23, 2026, US President Trump stated that a significant portion of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) regarding a peace agreement with Iran had been negotiated. He wrote on the Truth Social platform, “An agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalisation between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other Countries, as listed.” He added that he had spoken with several leaders of Gulf and regional states about Iran and all matters related to the peace MOU. In a conversation with the prime minister of the Jewish entities, he stated that he would not allow Iran to retain its nuclear and missile capabilities.

Comment:

Undoubtedly, America has always hoped that a faction that would become completely subservient to it, like other agent states, would rise to power in Iran. America miscalculated, but it remains reassured by the Arab proverb, (إذا صلحت فزوجة وحمار وإلا فركبة إلى ذمار) “If deception works then a wife and a donkey; otherwise, a free ride to Dhamar.” This proverb was uttered by a blind man who was carried by a man and his wife on their donkey to Dhamar in Yemen. Upon arrival, the blind man attempted to deceptively acquire the donkey, and claim the wife, and so his statement became a proverb. America relied on Iran’s moving within the orbit of the US in foreign policy, and had secured significant gains for itself since 1979, most notably in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen. If Iran’s subordination is too difficult to acquire, America will undoubtedly settle for keeping Iran within the orbit of its foreign policy sphere. Iran, for its part, understands that remaining within America’s orbit is in its best interest; it is not seeking to build a distinct, ideological state.

If America maintains its vision of a stable “New Middle East,” which includes Iran as one of the guarantors of this stability, Iran will accept this role and is prepared to be one of four guarantor states, which would be Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and the Jewish entity. It will also play a role in maintaining the nuclear balance in the region.

The memorandum of understanding, which is being discussed with optimism by all parties, is merely a prelude to ending the state of war and moving towards stability. Specifically, it postpones discussions on the nuclear program until further notice. Trump's constant pronouncements about not allowing Iran to possess nuclear weapons are most likely directed at the Jewish entity to prevent it from reigniting the conflict.

In particular, it was the first Trump administration that ended the work of the international committee tasked with monitoring Iran’s nuclear program, and preventing it from reaching the stage of producing nuclear weapons. This committee, known as the P5+1, was established during the Obama administration in 2015. The United States withdrew from the agreement in May 2018, under Trump. According to reports from the Brookings Institution, other research centers, and media outlets such as The New York Times and The Washington Post, the US withdrawal from the agreement, which effectively halted its implementation, significantly aided Iran in achieving high levels of uranium enrichment, and bringing it much closer to developing nuclear weapons and the delivery systems for them.

Therefore, the ongoing promotion and talk about Iran’s nuclear program, coupled with the cessation of military operations until an agreement is reached, is either a deception and a delaying tactic, until the facts on the ground become clear, or it is akin to the Arab proverb (على نفسها جنت براقش) “Baraqish brought disaster upon itself,” referring to America’s retreat from a disastrous historical error, committed by the same president, Trump, in 2018. This previous error enabled Iran to acquire nuclear capabilities that, according to experts, could be converted into a nuclear weapon within a few weeks.

The insistence of America and the former members of the P5+1, along with the occupying Jewish entity, on preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear capabilities is based on no legitimacy, law, custom, or justification whatsoever. Many countries in the world possess nuclear capabilities and weapons, including America, - the only country to have used them- Russia, China, North Korea, India, Pakistan, Britain, France, and the Jewish entity. Why is it permissible for them but forbidden for Iran, for example? If these countries, especially the mother of all calamities, the US, claim that their possession of nuclear weapons is a deterrent, not a weapon of war, then it is all the more reason for every country to possess such weapons, if it has an enemy or rival who possesses them. This would serve as a deterrent and compel a resolution to the conflict without resorting to war, thus preventing both sides from suffering total destruction. This is what initially occurred between the two superpowers, the United States and the Soviet Union, and is evident today in the conflict between India and Pakistan.

As for Iran, if it submits to American demands and surrenders its uranium stockpile, it will face overwhelming military strikes from the Jewish entity. It is not inconceivable that the Jewish entity would use its nuclear weapons to cripple Iran’s capabilities for decades to come. Its prime minister alluded to this previously when he stated that the Jews have a historical vendetta against the Persians, dating back to the time of Cyrus the Great. Trump has also stated that he seeks to destroy Iranian civilization, whether referring to the ancient Persian civilization, or the relatively recent Islamic civilization.

If Iran does not submit and clings to its strength, and the resources it has built up over decades, it will face increasing pressure, and various forms of warfare, whenever the Jewish entity manages to ignite them. Ultimately, however, it will remain a powerful and influential state. Most importantly, Iran is not far from restructuring its system to become an Islamic one, free from Persian nationalism and narrow-minded sectarianism, a vessel for a unified Ummah, unconstrained by nationalism or limited by sectarianism. Iran’s leaders must remember that the Islamic Ummah is more primal, more steadfast, and more resilient than Persian, Arab, or Turanism identities. An Ummah that builds its civilization, strength, and system entirely on the pure foundation of Islamic belief will be qualified to lead the world, offering a divinely ordained and just system that eradicates injustice and its consequences.

“O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered.” [TMQ Surah Al-Anfal: 24].
