The 27th Amendment is to Consolidate Trump’s Raj in Pakistan Shariah Supremacy Alone Can Close the Door to Foreign Interference Permanently

“The proposed 27th Constitutional Amendment, which would overhaul Article 243 and recast Pakistan’s military command hierarchy, is the most ambitious restructuring effort in decades and perhaps the most contentious as it collides with entrenched institutional cultures and the fragile equilibrium between civilian and military power… At the heart of the bill lies the deceptively simple premise of modernising defence coordination by creating a Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and abolishing the office of the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC). But in practice, the reform would elevate the army chief to a constitutionally enshrined position of supremacy — combining operational command with overarching control of all services.” (Dawn Newspaper)

Comment:

In Pakistan, for decades, the post of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) has been treated as a sovereign political post, contrary to its military nature, which should not be independent of the state's structure, whether in the Western-style civil state or the Shariah Law under an Islamic state. This reflects the reality of the military leadership exercising direct rule in the Pakistani state, and it also represents a departure from the civilian rule that secular states claim to uphold. Therefore, the true description of the Pakistani state is that it is a police state, not a political or civil state as it claims.

In Islam, however, the post of Amir al-Jihad, the military commander who leads the armies of the Islamic state, is appointed by the Khaleefah (Caliph) and can be dismissed at his discretion. For example, the Khaleefah (Caliph) of the Prophet Muhammad (saw), Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (ra), appointed Khalid ibn al-Walid (ra) as commander of the army, and later Umar ibn al-Khattab (ra) replaced him with Abu Ubaidah (ra). The commander of the army is a soldier who is appointed and dismissed according to the opinion of the Khaleefah (Caliph) in order to achieve victory over the enemies of Islam and Muslims and to achieve the purpose of Jihad in the way of Allah (swt). He is not to achieve the interests of the kafir in the region or in the Muslim World, and to roam between Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey to send mercenary forces to suppress the people of Palestine, instead of their being suppressed at the hands of the Jews!

As for the most destructive aspect of the 27th Amendment, it is not related to an individual general, or military supremacy or judicial oversight. It is related to the decision-making authority of Pakistan becoming even more subservient to the United States.

Asim Munir is the key agent for Trump in Pakistan and his “favorite field marshal.” Munir is completely aligned with the vision set by Trump for Pakistan, regarding the Jewish entity, the nuclear weapons of Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, Central Asia, and the immense energy and mineral resources of Pakistan.

The 27th Amendment lays the basis for extension of the power of Asim Munir, in a manner enjoyed by General Musharraf in Pakistan, previously, and by General El-Sisi in Egypt, currently.

The protest movement against the amendment must focus on a complete change, not a partial one. Any partial change will leave the door open for more Munirs, Musharrafs and El-Sisis. To close the door to any further manipulation of Pakistan by corrupt generals, politicians and America, the Muslims must demand Shariah supremacy.

Shariah demands that decision-making authority is in accordance with divine Revelation. No law can be enacted that does not have evidence from the Noble Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah, and what they indicate from Unanimous Ijmaa (Consensus) of the Companions (ra), and Shariah Qiyas (analogy).

Neither the Khaleefah, nor the Ameer of Jihad, nor the Judge of Judges in the Khilafah can act outside of the Shariah rulings. The Khaleefah himself can be removed from his post if he insistently and openly violates the qatiyaat (definitive Shariah rulings).

O Muslims of Pakistan!

Direct your political resistance to end the supremacy of American dictations, whims and desires over your affairs. Do not end your resistance until you establish the supremacy for the Shariah Law of Allah (swt) in Pakistan, the Pure Land.

Allah (swt) says in the Noble Quran,

[وَأَنِ ٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ وَٱحْذَرْهُمْ أَن يَفْتِنُوكَ عَنۢ بَعْضِ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ]

“And judge between them by all that Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires. And beware, so they do not lure you away from even some of what Allah has revealed to you.” [TMQ Surah Al-Maida 5:49].
